The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the operative-searching and investigative activities detained S.G. (DoB 1976) in Tbilisi for membership of the thieves’ world
Investigation established that detainee was in contact with the members of the so called thieves’ world and actively assisted criminal authority K.G. (on the territory of Turkey) in gathering the so called “Obshiak” with the aim to gain certain benefits for the criminal world. Uneer the instructions of the criminal authority from the Republic of Turkey, detainee gathered cash for the so called “Obshiak” and kept it on the regular basis.
During the searching activities held in detainee’s apartment law enforcers seized 30700 USD and 1000 GEL as well as other records, such as lists of the so called “Obshiak” as well as the expensive vehicle.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of membership of the thieves’ world, article 223, I part of the Criminal Code.
