Within the framework of the complex measures carried out in recent days by the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, 31 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry.
A total of 31 citizens of Iran, India, Turkey, Turkmenistan, China, Egypt, Burundi, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Iraq were deported from Georgia. In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.
The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify foreign citizens who reside in Georgia without legal grounds and to carry out their expulsion from Georgia.
