As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Central Criminal Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 5 people on drug charges, including 4 drug dealers.
The following persons are detained on charges of illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotics in particularly large quantities: G.S., born in 1986, Sh.K., born in 1980, Z.V., born in 1989, Z.T., born in 1968, and G.A., born in 2000.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, based on the judge's ruling, conducted a number of undercover investigative actions, establishing that the accused drug dealers were systematically selling narcotics.
The police carried out several undercover purchases of various types of narcotics from persons arrested for illegal drug trafficking and secretly recorded the aforementioned purchases.
Law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of narcotic drug "cocaine" as evidence from G.M., who was arrested on charges of drug crimes.
The investigation into the facts of illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotics in particularly large quantities is ongoing under Articles 260 and 260 (3) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
