As a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative actions carried, the officers of Marneuli Police Division under Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 2 persons in connection with the wounding that took place in Marneuli. The detainees are: E.M., born in 2003, and R.G., born in 2005.
E.M. is charged with inflicting serious bodily injury and illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of a firearm, while R.G. is charged with illegal acquisition, storage and carrying of a firearm.
The committed crimes envision up to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that On June 4 of the current year, in Marneuli, during a dispute over the conflict that existed between the parties in the past, E.M. inflicted gunshot injuries to V.G., born in 1998 and attempted to flee the place of crime along with R.G. afterwards, however, both of them were detained by police accused persons. The wounded individual is hospitalized, where he is receiving appropriate medical treatment.
Law enforcement officers have seized firearms as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Articles 117 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
