The officers of Tbilisi Interpol along with the officers of border control checkpoint “Red Bridge” of the 1st Unit of Kvemo Kartli Main Division of the Patrol Police Department of the MIA as a result of jointly conducted activities detained the citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aziz M. (DoB:1970) wanted by the Interpol of Paris from 2014 on the international level while he tried to enter the territory of Georgia from the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Aziz M. is charged for commitment of crime envisaged by the Articles 221-6, 223-6 and 434-10 of the Criminal Code of France that means: negligent killing through clear violation of security norms envisaged by the law or regulation; concealing the fact of escape of a vessel commander and not providing assistance to those in need.
By this time, pre-extradition procedures envisaged by the law against Aziz M. are in in progress.
