The officers of the Main Division Combating Organized Crime of the Central Criminal Police Department of the MIA, the Counterintelligence Department of the State Security Service and Prosecutor`s Office of Georgia in Lermontov Str., Tbilisi, as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities on the basis of a judge's decision detained a citizen of the Republic of Iran A.P. (DoB: 1964) for preparation premeditated murder.
The crime committed by the mentioned individual envisages from 16 to 20 years or life-term imprisonment.
The investigation established that the offender in exchange for 5500 US dollars prepared a murder of the citizen of the Republic of Iran V.A. (DoB: 1981) currently residing in Tbilisi. Also, it was established that in Tbilisi A.P. had initially paid a part of money to a certain individual to buy a weapon, while after completing the assignment, the rest amount would have been paid.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of preparation of premeditated murder under aggravating circumstances - sub-clause “c”, part III of the article 18-109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
