The officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative and investigative activities held on January 27-31 detained three individuals in Tbilisi and Senaki for illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition, in particular, B.G (DoB: 1994), K.Kh. (DoB: 1981) and previously multiple convicted N.I. (DoB: 1983). The crime committed envisages imprisonment from 4 to 6 years in length.
On the fact of purchase and keeping of firearms 2 persons were detained, while 1 person was detained on the fact of purchase and storage. In total the following items were seized: shot-gun the s.c. “Obrez”, “Makarov” system 2 pistols, "GRAND POWER K105" type automatic pistol, "Nagan" system revolver and 98 cartridges.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms and ammunition, article 236, II and III parts of the Criminal Code.
