The officers of the Division Combating Illegal Circulation of Drugs of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained R.K. (DoB: 1976) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantity. The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 5 to 8 years in length.
During the personal search of the detainee and search activities held in his apartment in Rustavi, the law enforcers seized 4 packs of heroine. Also, 1 pack of heroine hidden by the offender in the main entrance of one of the residential buildings was seized.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities (article 260, III part, sub-clause “a” of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
