During the live broadcast from Imedi TV, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, discussed the issue of marking the upcoming celebrations of the Orthodox Christian church considering that government has declared a state of emergency.
“We are a traditional people, traditional nation, Orthodox Christians and we greatly respect the church and religious celebrations. Moreover, Easter is one of the greatest celebrations for the orthodox Christians and therefore I understand the situation, however, we are still facing the security issue of our citizens. I have high hopes that our citizens will take this topic into consideration, abstain from large gatherings and limit their activities, compared to what they are accustomed to do”- ”Vakhtang Gomelauri said.
