Statement regarding the mentioned issue was made by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri during the live broadcast from Imedi TV. According to the Minister more than hundred cases of violations have been exposed:
“We have already seen many times how the rules of self-isolation or quarantine have been violated. It was not one or two, but more than hundred of such cases were exposed and even covered by media for which I am very grateful. In case if violations continue, people will be fined with 3000 GEL in accordance with the Code of Administrative Offences. I’ve already discussed this issue with the Prime Minister. We have repeatedly spread the information through TV sources. Is case of the second violation, the person will be prosecuted under the criminal Code of Offences. They will not be transferred to quarantine without facing criminal charges”- stated Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri.
