The officers of Zugdidi police division of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Main Division as a result of investigative activity held on the basis of operative information detained many times convicted in past, Abiko T. (DoB 1949) in Zeda Etseri village for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the searching activities held in the detainee’s house police seized “Voltran” made pistol, “Makarov” pistol, “Haenel” made hunting rifle and 22 bullets aimed for various firearms. According to the results of expertise firearms and ammunition is suitable for shooting. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, I part of the Criminal Code.
