The officers of the Kakheti Regional Main Division as a result of the operative- searching and investigative activities detained Beqa A. (DoB 1992) for premeditated murder.
Investigation established that on September 23 at 23:50 detainee went by his BMW made car to the house of the former policeman, located in Telavi and asked his to come out in the street to have a conversation. In retaliation Beqa A. made 17 shots with an automatic weapon from his car to the direction of the former policeman Beqa Abuladze and fled from the place of crime. Due to the received injuries the victim died at the place of crime.
It was also established that the accused and the deceased Beqa Abuladze had an argument with the detainee 5 years ago, which was connected with his police activities, in particular Beqa Abuladze verbally and physically assaulted Beqa A.
Based on the operative information law enforcers conducted searching and investigative activities Beqa A. was detained in several days after the crime took place. he was detained in Ojio village, Telavi. The weapon of murder was seized by the law enforcers as evidence. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of the premeditated murder, article 108 of the Criminal Code.
