The officers of Guria Regional Main Division as a result of searching and investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Givi Ch. (DoB 1967) in Chokhatauri for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition.
During the searching activities held in the detainee’s house located in Jvartsma village law enforcers seized a hunting rifle. In addition police also seized: one RPG-22 type grenade launcher, two anti-tank RPG-7 type missiles as a result of searching activities held in the detainee’s orchard. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of for illegal purchase and keeping of firearms and ammunition, article 236, I prt of the Criminal Code.
