The officers of Khelvachauri police division of Ajara Regional Main Division as a result of operative-investigative activities detained Irma M. (DoB 1966) at Sarpi border checkpoint for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and smuggling drugs on the territory of Georgia. During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 61 pills which according to expertise contains 0,5023 gr of buprenorphine. Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities and smuggling drugs on the territory of Georgia, article 260 VI part, sub-paragraph A and article 252, IV part sub-paragraph A envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
