As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Samtredia Police Division of Imereti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Adjara Police Department have arrested A.S. - a citizen of the Republic of Iran, born in 1988, on charges of illegally purchasing, storing and attempting to sell a large amount of narcotics.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
As a result of the personal search and search activities held in temporary residential apartment of the person arrested, as well as from the locations indicated by him, law enforcement officers seized a large amount of narcotics "heroin" and "dried marijuana" stored for the purpose of further sale as evidence.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police seized as evidence materials necessary for packaging narcotics, an electric scale, adhesive tapes and polyethylene ziplock bags.
The investigation is underway under Article 260, Part III and Article 19-260, Part VI of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
