The officers of the Division for Combat Trafficking and Illegal Migration under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities detained M.P. (DoB 1996) M.G. (DoB 1973) and V.K. (DoB 1970) in Tbilisi for trafficking perpetrated against under-aged person.
The committed crime envisages from 8 to 12 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainees exploited under-aged person (DoB 2004) on the regular basis for financial purposes and forced her to be involved in sexual intercourse with the so called clients.
All of the detained persons - the victim’s sister, the so called “pimp” and taxi driver, were taken under arrest on the basis of the Court decision
Investigation is in progress on the fact of child trafficking by unlawful transaction, article 1432 I part of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
