Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri awarded 12 employees of the Border Police for the successful operation held on January 14, over the course of which the armed person was neutralized and detained at the undefined section of Georgian-Azerbaijani land border. Four employees of the Border Police have been awarded with medal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for “Bravery”, while eight border guards were also honored to receive the medallion of the Ministry for “Exceptional Merits”.
The solemn ceremony was attended by the Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs – Kakha Sabanadze and Vladimer Bortsvadze, Head of the Border Police, Temur Kekelidze and his First Deputy, Kakhaber Chikovani.
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed his appreciation towards the employees of the Border Police for outstanding professional responsibility, courageous decisions and exemplary dedication demonstrated during the operation held at the undefined section of Georgian-Azerbaijani land border.
