The Ministry of Internal Affairs will host citizens in Batumi, close to the Alphabet Tower, within the framework of a unified ceremonial event related to Georgia's Independence Day.
The preparation process for May 26 is actively in progress since morning.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze got familiarized with the preparations for the Independence Day.
The event, which will beheld under the organization of the government administration, will start from 14:00. Information and exhibition stands will be presented by various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the vicinities of the Alphabet Tower as well as special technic, equipment and border police helicopter of the Patrol Police Department, Border Police and Emergency Management Service.
Within the framework of the event, a number of thematic informative and cognitive activities for children are planned to be held as well as entertainment spaces provided for them.
At 5:10 p.m., exactly at the time when Noe Zhordania announced Georgia's independence in 1918, the Georgian anthem will be performed.
The event will end with an evening concert.
