Employees of Kvemo Kartli and Kakheti police departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of jointly conducted operational-search measures and investigative activities detained G.S. (DoB 1999) and several times convicted in past U.B. (DoB 1996) for premeditated murder.
The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment
The investigation established that in January of the current year, the defendants took their acquaintance G.M (DoB 1997) from the city of Rustavi to one of the villages of Gurjaani municipality, to G.S.'s house. As a result of the conflict which started on the basis of mutual dispute, the accused persons murdered G.M. In order to conceal the traces of crime, the body was thrown into a well located away from the village, which was later filled with stones and concrete.
Law enforcement officers were informed about the disappearance of G.M. on May 22 of the current year. As a result of the investigative actions, the police arrested G.S. and U.B. as persons accused of premeditated murder.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, sub-paragraph "I", referring to premeditated murder committed in group.
