On May 22 of the current year, Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a report regarding the disappearance of G.A. (DoB 2003) on the basis of which police launched an investigation under Article 143, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
During the investigation, it was established that on May 16 of the currnent year, G.A. was with his friends in one of the villages of Kobuleti Municipality, at his friend's house.
On the basis of a mutual dispute, A.B.(DoB 2003), inflicted several wounds to G.A. with a cold steel.
As a result of the injuries, the young man died at the scene.
In order to conceal the traces of crime, the accused person and A.A., (DoB 2003), placed the body of G.A. in the trunk of the vehicle and buried it in the forest located away from the village.
Law enforcement officers, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions detained A.A. few days after the incident for concealing the committed crime.
The investigation also established that the fact of murder of G.A. was witnessed by: D.M. (DoB 2003) and L.J. (DoB2003), however they failed to report the crime to the police.
Law enforcement officers arrested both persons for failure to report especially grave crime.
It became known to the investigation that the person who committed the murder, A.B. (DoB 2003) left the country on May 19, before the Ministry was notified about G.A's disappearance.
The mentioned person will be charged by the law enforcers for premeditated murder in absentia.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 108, part II, Article 375, and Article 376 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which implies premeditated murder, non-reporting the crime and concealing especially grave crime.
