As a result of joint operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Detectives (Operational) and Investigation Divisions of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested B.Ts., born in 1986, on charges of illegal purchase and storage of a large amount of narcotics.
The committed crime envisions up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
During the personal search and search activities held in residential house and a vehicle of a person arrested on charges of drug offenses, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of the narcotic drug "Methadone" - 35 packages.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police seized money, adhesive tapes and electric scales as evidence.
An investigation is underway into the illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of narcotics under Article 260, Part 6, Subparagraph "A" of the Criminal Code.
