As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of Tetritskaro District Division of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested V.A. (DoB 1982), I.G. (DoB 1968) and S.Sh. (DoB 1990) on drug-related charges.
V.A. and I.G. are charged with illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. S.Sh. is charged with illegal purchase, storage and sale of narcotic drugs in large quantities.
The committed crimes are punishable up to 17 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that V.A. and I.G. were selling narcotics to citizens. Law enforcement officers, based on a judge's ruling, carried out controlled purchases of drugs from the defendants several times and secretly recorded the aforementioned purchases.
The police, as a result of personal search and search activities in residential and auxiliary buildings of the detained drug dealers in Kvemo Ponichala, narcotic drugs "heroin", "marijuana", the psychotropic substance "pregabalin" packaged for sale and, presumably, cash received as a result of the sale of drugs were seized.
As a result of a personal search of S.Sh. the narcotic drug "Methadone" was seized. The investigation is ongoing under Article 260, III and V parts, Article 261, III and VI parts, and Article 273, Part V of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
