The officers of the General Inspection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the basis of the judge's decision, following the operative information received detained the Police Major N.B., the inspector of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency of Kvemo Kartli of the Security Police Department on the fact of fraud. The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 6 to 9 years in length.
The investigation established that N.B. promised to help the citizen in beginning the service in the law enforcement system, instead he demanded money for the documents - approximately 4000 GEL. At the moment of handing over the part of money the law enforcers, as a result of the investigative actions detained the offender. The Police seized this amount of money as material evidence.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of fraud committed by the use official position (parts 2 and 3 of the Article 180 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
