As a result of operational measures and investigative actions, officers of the Main Division for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested 5 people on charges of drug crimes.
The following persons are detained on charges of illegal purchase and storage of large and especially large amounts of drugs, attempted sale, as well as attempted illegal sale of a new psychoactive substance and illegal purchase and storage of a particularly large amount of the drug "marijuana": A.B., born in 1998, S.M., born in 1985, I.Sh., born in 1969, and previously convicted - M.E., born in 1980. As well as I.A., born in 1982.
The committed crimes envision up to 20 years in prison.
As a result of the detainees’ personal search and search activities held in their residential apartments, as well as from the locations indicated by them, law enforcement officers seized various types of extremely large quantities of narcotic drugs as evidence.
As a result of the investigative actions, the police seized materials necessary for packing narcotic drugs as evidence.
The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 18-260, 19-260 and 173 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
