The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri, along with the Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili and members of the government, paid tribute to the memory of the victims of the World War II. The Speaker of the Parliament and MP’s as well as the head of the State Security Service also attended the event at "Veterans Culture and Recreation Park". Vakhtang Gomelauri laid flowers at the bust of Meliton Kantaria located in the park.
Today, on May 9, the 77th anniversary of the victory over fascism is celebrated.
