The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri held an introductory meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Georgia - Nilakshi Saha Sinha (residence in Yerevan). The meeting was also attended by first deputy head of State Security Service – Aleksi Batiashvili and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia – Aleksandre Darakhvelidze.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties talked about fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the field of law enforcement and deepening of future relations. They also discussed the current perspectives and expressed their readiness to actively continue cooperation in the future in different directions.
Vakhtang Gomelauri wished the Ambassador of the Republic of India success in her future endeavors. Ambassador Nilakshi Saha Sinha thanked the Minister of Internal Affairs for effective cooperation and expressed hope that the opening of the Indian Embassy in Georgia in near future will further strengthen the existing cooperation between the countries.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their hope that with the joint efforts, the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in the field of law enforcement will be further be deepened.
