Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs - Vakhtang Gomelauri, together with First Deputy - Shalva Bedoidze, introduced the new director of Adjara Police Department, Police Colonel Giorgi Bukhrashvili to the empliyees.
Giorgi Bukhrashvili has previously held the position of Director of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department. He has many years of experience in working on leading positions at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Giorgi Bukhrashvili replaced Grigol Beselia on the post of the Director of Adjara Police Department. Vakhtang Gomelauri thanked Grigol Beselia for his work and wished the newly appointed Director of the Police Department, Giorgi Bukhrashvili, success in his professional activities.
At the working meeting, the Minister of Internal Affairs received detailed information from the department's employees on the fight against crime in the region, preventive measures and existing challenges.
It was also noted at the meeting that improving the working conditions of police officers remains one of the main priorities for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Minister of Internal Affairs thanked the department's employees for preserving law and order in the region and gave them relevant instructions to implement police activities more effectively.
