Fourth meeting of the committee was held at MIA Police Academy within the frames of the project- “Capacity Building of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia to Ensure Adequate Human Rights Protection in Isolators of Temporary Detention through Trainings and Introduction of New Standards of Work”. Tt the meeting committee members discussed plans for future acativities.
Within the frames of the project 230 MIA employees from Temporary Detention Centers of human rights protection and monitoring main division have undergone training on improving environment and disease prevention topics at closed institutions.
Ministry of Internal Affairs is implementing project “Capacity Building of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia to Ensure Adequate Human Rights Protection in Isolators of Temporary Detention through Trainings and Introduction of New Standards of Work” from 2014 which is funded by the European Union.
The overall objective of the project is to ensure human rights protection in isolators of temporary detention through implementing adequate conditions, trainings for TDI staff and introduction new standards of work.
