Director of Emergency Situations management Department Zviad Katsashvili and his Deputy Levan Buiglishvili met with UNDP representative to Georgia Niel Scott and Ambassador of Romania Radu Gorinchio.
MIA representatives provided guests with complete information on functions of the Department, tasks, future plans and legislative norms, which is applied during emergency situations.
At the meeting sides discussed future prospects for the development of emergency situations management sphere in Georgia. Deputy Ambassador of Romania has expressed readiness on behalf of his country to offer technical support to Georgia’s Emergency Situations Management Department and conclude relevant memorandum between emergency services of Romania and Georgia on deepening cooperation.
