Director of the Cetral Criminal Police Department, Davit Natriashhvili within the frames of the visit to France, held meeting with General of the French National Gendarmerie Jean-Pierre Michele. The meeting was also attended by Georgian police attache in France and representatives of the Main Department of the National Gendarmerie
Jean-Pierre Michele congratulated Davit Natriashvili with signing the agreement with EUROPOL on operational and strategic cooperation and noted that the mentioned agreement is another step forward to Euro-integration.
At the meeting international police cooperation was outlined as well as the importance of the mutual fight against organized crime. Natriashvili pointed out the fruitful cooperation of the French embassy and French police attache on security issues with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to Jean-Pierre Michelle the mentioned visit is a proof of close and successful cooperation between National Gendarmerie and Georgian law enforcement agencies. At the meeting sides discussed future plans and agreed to further enhance cooperation.
Within the frames of the visit Davit Natriashvili also met director of the central criminal police of French Gendarmerie Mireille Ballestrazzi. She thanked Natriashvili for the existing cooperation and outlined the successful work of the Georgian police attache Lasha medulashvili in France.
Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of Georgia discussed reforms implemented in the Ministry of Internal Affairs with his colleague and reviewed the achieved results in the fight against organized crime.
At the meeting sides also tackled the achieved results in the field of cybercrime and terrorism and discussed the importance of the joint fight against crime.
Natriashvili also visited office of the fight against the mobile crime. He was hosted by the head of the mentioned office who shared experience on the fight against mobile crime.
Within the frames of the visit Davit Natriashvili also met leadership of the Criminal Police of the French Gendarmerie and got acquainted with the work process and specifics.
