Pilot program presentation on the analysis based police activities was held in the Shida Kartli regional Patrol Police Division. Presentation was attended by the deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs –Besik Amiranashvili and Shalva Khutsishvili as well as EU expert Uve Schviper and representatives of Shida Kartli Regional units.
At the presentation officers of Gori regional division presented report covering activities held in the frames of analysis-based policing pilot program. Participants got acquainted with newly implemented technological novelties within the frames of the program, including incident recording system as well as the new project created by the analysts.
Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the analysis-based policing pilot project in 2016 in Tbilisi, Gori and Rustavi.
Analysis-based policing is widely approbated model for the world’s leading countries. It contributes to the reduction of crime rates, its prevention and increases investigation efficiency. According to the project, police paperwork will be moved to electronic format, enabling analysts to prevent risks in advance.
The ongoing pilot project which is being held in Gori, proved to be a success according to the reached results and in the angle of crime prevention.
Ministry of Internal Affairs plans to launch the mentioned project all over the country from 2018, which means all police activities will be analyses-based, replacing the statistic-based policing.
