On April 12, at 07:30 Emergency Situations Management Agency received notification on the leak of the gas in Gldani district as well as on the collapse of the roof and 8th and 9th floors of the living block.
Firefighting and rescue teams of the Emergency Situations Management Agency departed to the place of incident right away. Rescuers had to work in extremely difficult conditions for three hours as a result of which they managed to rescue 3 citizens from the rubbles. 65 year old lady died as a result of the collapse. Patrol Police crews and ambulance were mobilized at the site.
