In vicinities of the Sakire village, Borjomi the Coniferous forest was caught in fire. Rescuers and firefighters of Borjomi Emergency Service of the Emergency Situations Management Department operatively arrived at the scene.
Due to the special relief additional units were mobilized at the place, in particular: Akhaltsikhe, Aspindza, Akhalkalaki, Kareli, Kaspi, Gori, Kharagauli and Khashsuri units. In fire extinguishing activities up 6 rescue cars have been involved and more than 150 firefighters and rescuers. 5 more rescuers from Tbilisi unit have been sent at the site in Borjomi as well. As a result of the fire no one got injured.
