On the base of Special Tasks Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the training on CBRN threats was held for officers of the mentioned department. The training in Georgia was held with the support of the US Embassy.
Within the frames of training, officers of Special Tasks Department took part in operations on detection of illegal laboratories. Decontamination zone was also arranged. Officers also held inspection of the labs by means of special detectors.
The training was led by the US-trained instructors of the Special Tasks Department as well as Emergency Situations Management Agency.
At the end of the training course exercises fulfilled by the participants were positively assessed by the monitoring group members and US experts.
