On the base of Special Tasks Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the training on CBRN threats and response was launched with the support and involvement of the US embassy. Opening of the training was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili, acting chief of mission of the United States Nicholas Berlineri, representatives of FBI and DTRA as well as the leadership of Special Tasks Department.
The training will be led by the US-trained employees of Special Tasks Department and Emergency Situations Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
MIA employees will undergo practical training on detection and elimination of CBRN threats, practical use of safety equipment, practical and theoretical trainings on the issues of decontamination.
