Medical personnel employed at Temporary Detention Isolators underwent training in Batumi on quality medical service.
Three-day training was organized by the office of the Council of Europe within the frames of which the existing international approaches with regard to healthcare of the apprehended persons were discussed, as well as issues of the disease management, observance of sanitary-hygienic norms, methods of identifying victims of ill-treatment and contemporary interviewing standards.
The training on – “"Quality Medical Services in Temporary Detention Isolators and Interviewing Techniques for Victims of Ill-Treatment" was held within the framework of the Council of Europe project –“Juvenile and Adult detainees Support".
The project was launched in November 2019. Within the framework of the mentioned project, a number of activities were planned and implemented to improve the qualification of medical staff working in isolators, as well as to the direction of improving the quality of medical services provided to detainees.
