Representatives of territorial units under MIA, officers of Patrol Police Department and representatives of Social Service Agency under the Ministry of Labour, Health, and Social Affairs of Georgia discussed the facts of domestic violence and child abuse and issues of coordination between Police and Social Service Agency in the MoIA Academy.
The training was aimed at in-depth study of legislative mechanisms against domestic violence and in child abuse referral system, establishing network between police officers and social workers, which will promote effective cooperation between two agencies with the purpose to protect children’s interests.
