The representatives of Migration Department of MIA and LEPL – State Fund for Trafficking Victims, Victims Protection and Assistance of the Ministry of Labor Health and Social Affairs of Georgia attended a training on legal mechanisms in the area of combating trafficking in persons and on contemporary trends. Training was taking place at the MIA Academy.
The aim of the training is to gain in-depth knowledge regarding the legal mechanisms in the area of combating trafficking in persons, responsibilities of state, contemporary trends of the crime of trafficking and its possible connection to illegal migration. Training is supported by the MIA Academy, as well as the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia, and is conducted within the framework of the European Law and Human Rights International Law Institute’s (ELHRILI) project.
