The officers of National Interpol Bureau of Georgia along with Patrol Police Department of Achara Regional Main Division under MIA as a result of jointly held activities detained the citizen of Turkey Regep Adnan Sirin (DoB 1944), at Sarpi Border Checkpoint. Abovementioned person was wanted by Haaga INTERPOL since 20.05.2015 on international level.
Rejep Adnan Sirin was convicted for committing crimes envisaged by the law on opium of Kingdom of Netherlands articles II and X and law on Firearms article III, which implies illegal traffic of drugs and illegal keeping of firearms.
The officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia have placed the detainee in Achara-Guria regional temporary detention isolator. At the moment pre-extradition procedures envisaged by law are underway.
