The officers of Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs along with general inspection of the Ministry of Corrections as a result of jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities exposed and detained employee of the Ministry of Corrections, Main Isnpector Ramaz Pavliashvili for the attempted swindling. Investigation established that detainee promised to the prisoner Gela D. to assist in leaving the prison before the expiration of his term of imprisonment and in return demanded 1000 US dollars.
Investigation is in progress on the attempted swindling, article 19-180 II part of the Criminal Code. The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment. Investigation is conducted by Anti-corruption Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs
