The officers of the Ajara police department along with Ajara and Guria regional units of the counter intelligence as a result of jointly held operative-investigative activities detained Turkish citizen Kerim S. (DoB 1966) for bringing the firearm through the Georgian state border illegally.
During the searching activities held in detainee’s vehicle law enforcers seized “Sarsilmaz” pistol, 15 bullets and one cartridge. It was established that the firearm was illegally brought from Turkish Republic.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of bringing the firearm through the Georgian state border illegally, article 214, IV part envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
