The officers of the Detectives Division of Tbilisi Police Department and the officers of Vake-Saburtalo Division of the MIA as a result of jointly conducted operative-searching and investigative activities detained Beka D (DoB: 1986) for premeditated murder.
The investigation established that the detainee with a revenge motive on July 1, this year in Kandelaki street, Tbilisi, inflicted multiple injuries with a firearm in head and chest area to Mikheil Ts. (DoB: 1984) and fled from the crime scene. Mikheil Ts. died as a result of the injuries in hospital.
Law enforcers detained the accused in few hours; police seized the weapon of a crime – double-barreled cut hunting gun – as evidence. The detainee has already pleaded guilty.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of a firearm (Articles 108 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
