The Service Agency of the MIA and the sports club MIA Force within the scopes of the MIA’s road safety campaign launched the road safety week in Batumi in connection with the opening of tourist season.
The Week was opened in Batumi Boulevard, near the Alphabet Tower; the event was attended by the Deputy Ministries of Education, Culture and Sport of Adjara, the Vice-Mayor and other guests. The guests had a tour around the exhibition specially arranged for this day by the Service Agency of the MIA, viewed the videos created on the road safety campaign and talked about the importance of the program. Mr. Dato Nikoleishvili, Director of the Service Agency provided the information about various events planned within the scopes of the Week.
During one week the Service Agency of the MIA will offer the tourists and local residents a variety of educational and entertainment events. The “School of Driving” arranged in the exhibition hall will organize educational lectures for children on the road safety; all visitor will be able to see the simulated race track of the MIA Force, the sports club as well as the Legend and Formula vehicles.
Within the scopes of the Week the children will be able to receive bicycles driving licenses; also the marathon of cyclists amateurs will be held in support of the road safety campaign.
