The officers of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional division of the Central Criminal Police Department as a result of the investigative activities held on the basis of the operative information detained previously convicted Eduard Sh. (DoB 1975) in Khobi.
During the personal search of the detainee law enforcers seized 80,26295 gr of the drug substance which according to expertise contains 15,5231 heroin. 5 pills of methadone drug were also seized from the mentioned person.
Drug test revealed that detainee was the consumer of drugs from the opium group, marijuana and methadone. He has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in especially large quantities, article 260, VI part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
