The officers of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti Regional Main Division along with Tchiatura Regional Division, as a result jointly held operative-searching and investigative activities detained Tariel M. (DoB 1972) Zaza P. (DoB 1969) for illegal purchase/keeping and import of drugs on the territory of Georgia.
Investigation established Zaza P. illegally purchased drugs on the territory of Turkish Republic, while Tariel M. provided ensured transportation to the direction of Georgia. During the personal search of Tariel M. law enforcers seized 75,94gr of drug substance, containing 66,602gr of pure heroin on the basis of the results of expertise.
As a result of drug test Zaza P. was under the influence of opiates in the moment of his detention.
Investigation against Zaza P. is in progress under the article 260, II part, sub-paragraph F, and III part, sub-paragraph A and article 273, I part. Investigation against Taraiel M. is in progress under the article 260, II part, sub-paragraph F, and III part, sub-paragraph A and article 262, IV part, sub-parapraph A, article 273, I part of the Criminal Code.
