The officers of Border Police investigative-operative main Division, Akhaltsikhe unit along with Patrol Police Department Samtskhe-Javakheti Main Division, as result of jointly held investigative activities detained Movse A. (DoB 1955) at “Sameba” border checkpoint.
As a result of searching activities held by the law enforcers in the trunk of the detainee’s vehicle 356 gr of gold objects worth of 19 623 GEL were seized, which were smuggled in Georgia from the Republic of Armenia by ignoring customs clearance regulations.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of breach of customs procedures, article 214, III part of the Criminal Code. Investigation is conducted by Border Police investigative-operative main Division.
