Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili held meeting with US Congress delegation. The delegation was headed by Congressman Steve Russell. Deputy Minister acquainted guests with implemented and ongoing projects of the Ministry. Congressmen positively assessed reforms implemented in the agency and special focus on achievement in the fight against trafficking and corruption.
At the meeting parties also discussed pre-election environment. Shalva Khutsishvili also introduced special decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs, issued on September 8, defining additional activities of the Ministry for ensuring democratic and safe environment during the elections.
Deputy Minister outlined that the Ministry is ready to ensure safe and peaceful environment during elections.
