On March 11-15, within the frames of co-operation MIA Emergency Management Department and International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) mountain-rescue training will be held for Emergency Management Department employees on Rescue-Training Base. On March 15-19 training will continue in Gudauri namely on the ski run.
Opening ceremony was held in the attendance of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs vakhtang Gomelauri, Director of MIA Emergency Management Department Zviad Katsashvili and Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus, General-Major Vladimir Vashchenko. Training will be headed by instructors from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kirgizia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Aim of the exercise is to train Emergency Management Department rescuers which will improve level of preparedness of MIA rescuers during emergencies, improve qualification and ensure fast response and operation on emergency situations in poorly accessible places.
The mentioned training is co-organized by MIA Emergency Management Department and International Civil Defense Organization (ICDO) and Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus.
