Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos, the EU Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship visited the Ministry of Internal Affairs and met Mr. Archil Talakvadze, the Deputy Minister. The meeting was focused on the works and the reforms implemented within the scopes of the visa liberalization action plan. Mr. Archil Talakvadze and the EU Commissioner paid attention to the issues of fight against organized crime, migration service reform and border integrated management. The discussions also focused on the cooperation between Georgia and the Europol and the high-level agreement, which the parties shall sign in the near future.
Mr. Dimitris Avramopoulos, the EU Commissioner reaffirmed his strong support and emphasized that with the implemented reforms Georgia has given a good example to many countries and it continues to successfully move toward European integration.
