Working meeting was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs dedicated to the topic of illegal drug trade on internet. The event was organized within the framework of the European Union-funded project – European Union Action Against Drugs and Organized Crime (EU-ACT).
Representatives from the Georgian MIA Central Criminal Police Department and national police forces of the Republic of Austria, Estonia, Lietuva, Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA, US), Ukraine, National Crime Agency (NCA, UK), and Kyrgyzstan participated in the working meeting.
The purpose of the meeting was to share information on the phenomena of illegal drug trade on internet, identify ways of tackling the problem and develop international cooperation.
The Project - European Union Action Against Drugs and Organized Crime (EU-ACT) aims to enhance capacity of participating countries in tackling drug-related organized crime and increase coordination among countries within the region.
